Koh Chang:
Koh Chang is a very popular destination among visitors, situated in the nearest distance from Laem Ngob.  It takes 1-2 hours to reach the desires destinations on Koh Chang.  The best season to visit the islands is between October and May.


Tourist Spots in Koh Chang and Other Groups of Islands:

Naval Battle Area
Close to Salak Petch Bay, Naval Battle Area is in the south of Koh Chang where the battle between Thai and French naval troops fought over the east border conflict on January 17, 1941

Tan Mayom Waterfall
Tan Mayom Waterfall is the three storeys fall of medium size where the King Rama V and VI once visited the place and singed their royal names on the highest cliff of the cascade.

Klong Nonsi Waterfall
Klong Nonsi Waterfall is a little fall in the northeast zone of the island.

Klong Nueng Waterfall
Klong Nueng Waterfall is a small fall situated remotely from Salak Petch Community near Salak Petch Waterfall.

Klong Son Bay
In the northernmost of the west coast, Klong Son Bay is rich with coral lines.  Klong Son Community is also set up in the area.

Klong Plu Waterfall
Having three storeys, Kong Plu Waterfall's entrace is 3 kms. from Ao Kong Phrao Community.  Walking from the entrance to the site takes only about 20 minutes.

Koh Chang Noi and Leam Chang Noi
Both Koh Chang Noi and Leam Chang Noi lie in the north of Koh Chang.  An abundance of corals can be found in the sea between Koh Chang Noi and Laem Chang Noi.

Tri Petch Waterfall
Only one storey is of the Tri Petch Waterfall which is situated 3 kms from Salak Petch Community along the orchard of rubber trees.

White Sand Beach
One of the longest beaches on Koh Chang, White Sand Beach or Hat Sai Khao is easily accessible due to many roads passing to it. Its name suggests scenic beauty of the area while its back are views of coconut trees orchards and forests.

Bang Bao Beach
Bang Bao Beach is the location of a beautiful bay and private pier on the south coast of Koh Chang.  Most of the beach is dominated by Bang Bao Resort and Sunset Bungalows, private developments.

Long Sand Beach
Perhaps the most spectacular beach and finest waters on Koh Chang near the southeastern tip is Long Sand Beach with its crystal clear water.  It is a short boat ride away from the beautiful islands of Koh Phrao, Koh Lao Ya, Koh Ngam, and Koh Wai.

Klong Phrao Beach
Klong Phrao Beach is a long and rapidly developing beach with a limited amount of tracts of property covered with little more than coconut groves and wild vegetation.  It offers a finer degree of peace and solitude and is a pleasant change from the more popular White Sand or Kai Bae Beaches.

Kai Bae Beach
Kai Bae Beach, close to Klong Phrao Beach, is the last major beach on the west coast that has a narrow strip of sand crowded with over a dozen bungalows.  The beach is steep but swimming is safe.  

Koh Lao Ya
Koh Lao Ya is a lovely little island with a beautiful beach, crystal clear water and colorful corals.  It lies at the south of Koh Chang, comprising of Koh Lao Ya Nai, Koh Lao Ya Klang and Koh Lao Yak Nok.

Koh Wai
Koh Wai is a big island plenty with stones, situated next to Koh Lao Ya.  The area occupies several bays having beautiful beach lines and wide wonderful coral zones.  It's also the best source for fishing.

Koh Phrao
Koh Phrao offers clean and calm seaside and is cool and shady because it has plenty of coconuts trees.  This small island is in front of Salakpetch Bay.

Koh Rung
Koh Rung is a small island at the west of Koh Maak.  Stone knolls and deep-water coral under the sea of Koh Rung are very magnificent.

Koh Ngam
Koh Ngam is a very beautiful island situated in the south of Koh Chang, comprising of two islands with a huge sand knoll at the middle

Koh Kut
The second largest island in Koh Chang and the farthest island from the coast of Trat, Koh Kut ranks as the fourth of all Thailand's islands in size.  Its natural features include mountains and plains where many streams originate and some become waterfall. One famous waterfall is Nam Tok Khlong Chao which flows all throughout the year.  There are also beaches with crystal clear sea such as Taphao Beach, Khlong Chao Beach, Khlong Hin Beach, Phrao Beach and more. 

Koh Maak
Located between Koh Chang and Koh Kut, Koh Maak is a large island with most of its plains area is coconut plantations.  Long beaches and crystal clear sea are the splendid attractions of the island.

Koh Kradad
Owned by a Thai princess, Koh Kradad features a seven-kilometer-beach and fairly good diving.  Formerly, the area was abundant with Kradad trees, hence became the name of island.
